The latest released version of plugin is Zamango Money Extractor v.1.5.

In this version we’ve tried to correct the functioning of [zmg:post_premalink] after the auto-update.
After you update your ZME plugin, you should replace the [zmg:post_premalink] by %zmg_post_permalink% in templates and run once again the syndication of all games.

List of changes:

1. Fixed: the functioning with Wordpress 3.1.3-3.2 engine, where the processing of GUID was considerably changed that entailed creation of duplicated posts.
   

   By the way, if you’re using Wordpress v.3.1.* it’s recommended to update it to v.3.2 because v.3.1.* has several bugs relating to slugs and categories; also WordPress.org say that v.3.2 is faster and lighter for the server. But first you should pay attention to the changes of system requirements which are described in all details in the WP developers’ blog

2. Fixed: the problem with the zamango-teg “[zmg:post_permalink]“, which was incorrectly functioning with some WP versions.
3. Fixed: the substitution of “[zmg:post_permalink]” in RSS-feeds.
4. It have been also fixed the theoretically existed problem with the functioning of auto-update. Since now ZME makes an auto-update every 12 hours, and the appropriate option has been removed from the control panel.
   

   It is necessary to make a remark that wp-cron (scripts autorun scheduler integrated to WordPress) works only in case of direct requests to WP engine, escaping the cache. Due to this fact, if your blog has a low traffic and you use cash, it is recommended to set up an auto-check of your blog, for example by means of the service www.pingdom.com using URL like http://example.com/?s=play (expression “?s=play” makes Wordpress search the phrase “play”). Also, this service lets you estimate your hosting reliability.

We have already written about how to start a game site from nothing by using ZME.

Where are some little differences in plugin setting on an active blog:

1. What is the most important to use ZME plugin is your blog must be WordPress blog and you must have the possibility to set up new plugins.
2. Then you can proceed to  sign-up for Zamango and affiliate programs you have chosen (BigFishGames, Reflexive, Alawar, GameBoss, Turbogames, ИГРОMoney.  At the moment, Zamango offers games in seven languages from six different affiliate programs. For more information see Zamango’s Casual Games Base. After you have enter the system, you get links on registration pages (we offer to review some advices on sign-up in different partner programs).
3. In each affiliate program you get Partner ID or Affiliate ID. This data must be put on settings of your Zamango personal profile. This operation is necessary to use your ID in download links creating, so as exactly you who get charge from games sold on your blog.
   
4. You have to decide which games and on which languages will be posted on your blog (on your blog page), and create a channel. To do it pass in the section Content Channels.  There are pre-installed channels that you can edit: change name, change the affiliate program priority, choose genres of the games that will be placed on you blog.
   
   If the default channels are not enough you can create you own one with desired settings. Pay your attention that for one channel you can choose only one language.
   
5. Than tune the plugin. Download the latest version of ZME and copy the archive content in folder/wp-content/plugins/ of your blog.
6. Enter into the control panel of your blog, section Plugins, find Zamango Money Extractor. Press Activate.
   
   
7. After the activation button Zamango M.E. appears (right down).
   Press it and enter the page of plugin management.
   
   Here you have to enter your login, the same that you use to enter the Zamango service system, and enter the name of the channel you will use. You have a large choice between the game’s post layouts by dint of set terms (press Help… to see the list). Post name layout sets the template for the name formation of game’s post. This is the great tool for  SEO. In a field Random words you enumerate key-words comma separated that will add at random in the post name. If you want, you can change Excerpt layout and Content layout (use the button Help… and Preview…)
8. After run-up you can easily press the button Sindicate. Posts will be imported and the games will be appeared on your blog. Import of the game posts goes step-by-step, so you have to press Continue a several times, and set the amount of imported posts at a time.

What is Zamango Money Extractor?

Zamango M.E. is a plugin which helps to earn money by affiliate sales of a various content from many sellers by means of a free service.
Now the service offers only casual games, from the leading developers such as Reflexive, BigFishGames and Alawar for the English-speaking buyers, and Alawar and GameBoss (Nevosoft) for the Russian-speaking ones.

Zamango M.E. plugin allows to use all possibilities of Zamango service for money making through the Internet completely simply having connected it to a popular free WordPress engine and having made some simple options.

How to adjust Zamango Money Extractor to save the sales commission

(1) It requires the installed Wordpress ver. 2.5 or later and the possibility to add plugins to it. It is important since there are many "blogs hostings" like blogg Zamango les. Zamango info or blog. Zamango com, which provide WordPress, but all of them forbid the installation of new plugins, that is why blog-hostings are not suitable for successful website initially.

(2) It is necessary for you to be signed up on Zamango service. After you log in system you will be provided with all partners registration links (please sign up under the links from zamango.com, because they contain referal ID, which you will thank us for, we hope). The sign up process in all services is rapid and absolutely free.

(3) Put your partner ID to Zamango reference panel.

(4) Download the latest version of Zamango M.E. plugin and copy the archive content to /wp-content/plugins/ folder in your WordPress.
Then go to plugins page in WordPress dashboard and activate "Zamango Money Extractor" plugin

(5) In the WordPress dashboard go to Zamango M.E. page (at the left below ). Fill in the username (o and the channel name on Zamango service.

Three channels on default, which contain games of all genres, are automatically created after registration, but they are made in different localization and for different platforms:

• pc-en - English for Windows,
• pc-ru - Russian for Windows,
• mac-en - English for Mac OS,
• all-en - English for Windows и Mac OS,
• pc-pl - Polish for Windows.

Also you can create other channels, for example, containing only English puzzles for Mac OS.

Then adjust posts and excerpts appearance (hint: use the help and the Preview button) and press the "Syndicate now" button. Since there are many games in the base and time for script execution on server is limited, probably you will have to wait for some time before the appearance of the "Continue" button - you will have to press it until all games are imported. Step 1.

The important thing for site owner is hosting choice. The hosting with stable work guarantees the website’s successful development.  If a site is unavailable or is loading slowly from time to time, its development, promotion and profit from it will be impossible.

What hosting should you choose? We will define the WordPress requirements first.

Step 2.

The second important step is the purchasing of a domain name, or a domain. It costs from $5 to $10. It is desirable to have debit or a credit card allowing settling through the Internet or WebMoney purse with the necessary sum.

1. It would be very good, if there are keywords such as casual games, download games, play games etc. at a domain name. See the top of these enquiries in Google.

2. If you didn’t manage to choose the name with the keyword, try short and imposing name, which will be easy to remember.

3. If you are going to sell games on the foreign markets the domain should be in com/org/net zones or in us/eu/de zones.
We recommend the domain names recorder in com/org/net zones – www.godaddy.com; there is a service of free domain name selection on the resource. For domain registration in a ru/ zone there is www.domains.webmoney.ru website.

Step 3.

So, you’ve chosen the hosting, got the domain, and the third important step is installation and adjustment of CMS of WordPress. The best incremental instruction you can find on official WordPress website. So we are not going to write about it in detail. You will simply open the link and follow the instructions neatly. Please note that Wordpress version 2.5 or later is needed for ZME plugin proper function.

On this stage you are going to be a designer, your way leads to a websites with free WordPress themes. The recommended sites are wordpressthemesbase.com and www.freewpthemes.net. But if they cannot satisfy your demand, having typed “free wordpress themes” in any search engine, you will find thousands websites with free themes easily. Choose any of them, and if you want, you can improve somebody’s theme or make your own. You should add ready theme to wp-content/content/themes directory, then activate the theme in the “Appearance” bookmark in WordPress dashboard and enjoy your creation.

Step 4.

The next step is necessary for effective work plugins installation. All plugins are installed by downloading them on the server to wp-content/plugins/ directory. Here is the list of recommended plugins:

The final step, what we did all this for, is Zamango M.E. plugin installation. If you’re not registered in Zamango yet, do it here. Fill in the short registration form.

After login you get in the control panel. Follow the links, go to Reflexive, BigFishGames, GameBoss and register in their partner programmes. After the registration you will receive partner ID, affiliate code and Contributor ID from them. Press the “fill in” link which is opposite to every partner program, write the received information there and save the changes. Then you notice “my channels” bookmark, it is situated on the right in the control panel. Choose the name of the channel which you like, the necessary categories and genres of games (we recommend to choose all). You should remember the channel name, because it will come in useful. Go to “files” bookmark in the control panel and download Zamango Money Extractor plugin. After that copy unzipped folder with plugin files to wp-content/plugins/on your site. Then press “Plugins” bookmark on your WordPress control panel. Find Zamango Money Extractor plugin and activate it. On the left under the block of control panel buttons you will find the button . Press it and you will be directed to plugin adjustment page.
